As part of the Park Jae-sam Street project in Sacheon, this installation redefines the traditional observational sculpture. Studio Moho has crafted a functional, bench-like form that facilitates an implicit engagement with the surrounding poetic environment.
사천 박재삼거리 조성 사업의 일환으로 기획된 조형물입니다. 스튜디오 모호는 단순히 감상의 대상이 되는 일반적인 오브제에서 벗어나, 사용자가 직접 머무르며 시인의 정서를 암시적으로 체험할 수 있는 벤치를 디자인하였습니다.

The literary world of Park Jae-sam maintains a delicate equilibrium between sorrow, Han, and the serene beauty of nature. Moving beyond the design of a simple commemorative monument, this project seeks to orchestrate a sensory threshold where the urban rhythm interfaces with the poet's emotional resonance. To this end, we focused on materializing the lyrical essence, translating the poet’s rhythmic cadence into a tangible spatial experience that engages the human body.
박재삼 시인의 문학 세계는 슬픔과 한, 그리고 자연의 고요한 아름다움 사이 섬세한 균형을 유지합니다. 본 프로젝트의 목적은 단순한 기념적 조형물을 디자인하는 것을 넘어, 도시의 일상적인 리듬과 시인의 정서적 울림이 만나는 감상적 전이 공간을 연출하는 것이었습니다. 이를 위해 우리는 시인의 운율을 신체와 소통 가능한 공간적 경험으로 치환하는 서정의 형상화에 집중했습니다.

나무 그늘 아래
The vivid, geometric emerald bench serves as a fleeting emotional sanctuary for passersby. Evoking the rhythmic cadence of poetry, the perforated back panel presents an intuitive abstraction of nature. As sunlight strikes the structure, it casts elongated shadows that offer a sense of repose, while the light filtering through the patterns recreates the experience of sunbeams dappled through leaves. This intentional interplay between light and void transforms the rigid metal installation into an organic object, inviting visitors to pause and meditate in an atmosphere as serene as the shade of a sheltering tree.
선명한 기하학적 초록색 벤치는 지나가는 이에게 잠시나마 정서의 안식처가 되어줍니다. 시의 운율처럼, 리듬감 있는 패턴으로 타공된 배면 패널은 꽤 직관적인 자연의 모습을 드러냅니다. 햇빛이 조형을 비추면 내부에는 깊게 그림자가 드리우고, 뒤편으로 패턴이 드러나며 마치 나뭇잎들 사이로 스며드는 햇살을 연상케 합니다. 빛과 보이드의 상호작용은 경직된 금속 형태의 설치물을 유기적인 오브제로 변화시키고, 사용자들에게 나무 아래 편히 앉아 있는 듯 잠시 멈춰 사색할 수 있는 분위기를 만들어냅니다.
