This project involved repurposing an existing framework into a cohesive campsite. Our work scope encompassed the entirety of the project, including interior and exterior conceptualization, spatial layout, programming, and related design.
기존에 지어진 건물의 구조를 유지하되, 캠핑장으로써 건물 내부와 외부의 전체적인 컨셉 기획과 공간 배치, 프로그래밍, 디자인 전반을 진행한 프로젝트입니다.
Lyrical Adventure
서정적 모험
Sunset Barbeque is a project that reinterprets the activity of camping as a lyrical adventure. Beyond a mere camping program, it integrates the dreamy and warm emotions of the sunset with a narrative experience that unfolds throughout the space, creating an environment that leaves visitors with profound and lasting memories. The surrounding vast farmland offers guests an unobstructed view, where the panoramic sunset serves as the core persona of the Sunset Barbeque experience.
석양바베큐는 캠핑이라는 액티비티를 서정적인 모험으로 재해석한 프로젝트입니다. 단순한 캠핑 프로그램을 넘어, 노을이 주는 몽환적이고 따스한 감성과 공간을 따라 이행되는 서사적 경험을 결합하여 방문객에게 깊은 여운이 남는 추억을 제공하는 공간을 구축합니다. 주변의 광활한 농지는 방문객들에게 탁 트인 시야를 제공하며, 일몰 시 펼쳐지는 파노라마 뷰는 석양바베큐의 핵심적인 페르소나가 됩니다.
Invitation to the Unknown
미지로의 초대
In the initial stage of the journey, a grand, conceptual arch structure greets visitors. Functioning as an experiential threshold into an unknown realm, the structure features pillars with interstitial gaps that reveal glimpses of the interior, stimulating curiosity about the space beyond. Subtle uplighting, reminiscent of the sunset’s glow, breathes vitality into the form.
캠핑장 입구에 이르면 거대한 아치형 조형물이 방문객을 맞이합니다. 이는 미지의 공간으로 진입하는 경험적 장치로, 아치 기둥들 사이의 틈은 내부의 이미지를 부분적으로 노출하며 너머의 공간에 대한 호기심을 유도합니다. 하단에서 은은하게 뿜어져 나오는 조명은 석양의 빛을 닮아 구조물에 생명력을 불어넣습니다.
Journey of Connection
이음의 여정
Upon passing through the entry arch, a linear gravel path pierces through the center, establishing a powerful directional axis. Individual campsites branch off from this spine to ensure privacy and independence, while a rough yet inviting fire pit at the far end serves as the space’s identity. The building’s interior is programmed for convenience, housing a playground, a market, and restrooms. Throughout the site, visual framing interconnects all internal and external programs, weaving together a cohesive physical and narrative journey.
아치를 지나 내부에 들어서면, 중앙을 관통하는 직선의 자갈길이 펼쳐져 강렬한 동선을 형성합니다. 자갈길에서 분기되는 각각의 캠핑사이트는 개별적인 독립성을 확보하고, 정면 멀리에는 거칠어 보이는 듯 아늑한 파이어핏이 공간의 상징성을 드러냅니다. 건물 내부는 놀이공간과 마켓, 화장실 등 편의를 위한 프로그램으로 구성되었습니다. 모든 내외부의 프로그램은 연결된 시각적 프레이밍을 통하여 물리적, 서사적 동선을 구축합니다.
Hues of Sunset
석양의 색채
The definitive centerpiece of this project is a dedicated space for fully embracing the sunset. Oriented toward the sunset, an elevated deck allows visitors to relax on benches while enjoying the panoramic nature. At the edge of the deck, a vertical installation featuring dichroic film transforms the natural sunset into a multi-layered spectrum of colors, inviting a sensory dialogue between light and the human body. This transcends ordinary observation, offering a unique and lyrical experience that can only be found within this place.
본 프로젝트의 가장 핵심적인 요소는 석양을 온전히 마주하는 감상 공간입니다. 노을이 지는 방향으로 솟아있는 데크 위에서 사람들은 벤치에 안락하게 몸을 맡긴 채 탁 트인 배경의 노을을 관조합니다. 특히 데크 끝단에 설치된 수직의 다이크로익 조형물은 노을빛을 다채로운 색채의 스펙트럼으로 변환하여 빛과 신체의 공감각적 소통을 유도합니다. 이는 단순한 풍경 감상을 넘어, 오직 이곳에서만 마주할 수 있는 유니크하고 서정적인 경험을 선사합니다.
